No.
Concierge medicine is usually much more expensive. Sometimes over $1000/mo and many still bill insurances.
Direct Primary Care is meant to be accessible and affordable, and can actually save you money in the long run.
-
Yes.
Insurance is necessary if you need specialist care, if you experience an emergency and require hospitalization or surgery and other circumstances that may be unexpected or costly.
A properly trained DPC Physician is able to handle 90% of all your healthcare needs in office.
In fact most members will be able to decrease their insurance coverage to a less expensive plan, saving them thousands per year. Usually saving much more than the cost of membership itself.

Direct Primary Care tackles a few big issues in healthcare today.
Avoids Physician Burnout- It allows us to see less patients (not the typical 30-40/day doctors see in large systems) reducing stress, improving relationships and overall making for better outcomes for patients and doctors.
We limit the practice to a small size- this allow us to have more open schedules, get patients in fast and spend more time with them, allows for a better relationship and less stress.
We need less staff and a smaller office- which decreases overhead and allows us to offer much lower prices.
-
We strive to make you need specialist care a bit less often, through low cost consultations which allow us to do most care in office, but when you do need a specialist we can make the referral and coordinate care.
-
Yes.
Medicare however will not cover the cost of your membership and will not be accepted by our office.
The physician will be “Opted Out” of Medicare. This is necessary to allow Medicare patients to be seen, since Medicare will not allow us to charge a membership fee and dictates we have to bill them for all services if we are participating.
This allows us to not need additional staff to handle billing, not need to do the excessive calls for payment and prior authorization, and ultimately allows us to keep our prices low.
You will still be able to use your Medicare for labs, imaging, specialist care and unforeseen emergency care and hospitalizations if needed.
-
We will offer deeply discount lab pricing and imaging through local partners.
This will for example include things like a Xray for $75, CT Scan for $200 or a routine lab panel for less than $50. (Prices will vary depending on 3rd party vendors)
-
We can handle that.
We can write a prescription and send it to your pharmacy, where if you choose you can use your insurance to pay for it…
Or, we will have a stock of common generic medication in house to dispense at the time of visit at a very deep discount. Convenient, quick and affordable.
