Platelet Rich Plasma: A Promising Treatment
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a treatment that uses a patient's own blood to promote healing and tissue regeneration. The procedure involves taking a relatively small sample of blood from the patient, which is then processed to separate the platelets from the rest of the blood cells. The platelets are then re-suspended in the patient’s plasma (the fluid portion of their blood) and re-injected into the patient's body, typically at the site of an injury or in an area where tissue regeneration is desired, such as with hair restoration or facial rejuvenation.
